About this product

Product Information

Nintendo fans who missed 2005's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones on GameCube now have another chance to experience the critically acclaimed saga's third chapter on the Wii. As in the GameCube title, players will control both a good and evil Prince, each possessing distinct combat moves, personalities, and backgrounds. The exotic setting for this installment is Babylon, where players will test their character's agility and fighting prowess by leaping across rooftops, battling in palaces, weaving though bustling streets, and exploring underground passages.

The controls have been redesigned specifically for the platform's motion-sensing capabilities, with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk used in sweeping motions, thrusts, and flicks to initiate various combat functions. As in its predecessors, the game combines platform jumping, fast-paced, freeform combat, and story-driven puzzles in a cinematic adventure filled with plot twists and intrigue. The ability to manipulate time is once again an integral part of the gameplay, allowing players to slow down or even rewind events to defeat enemies and to complete objectives.

Great game, exactly what you expect from PoP

I love the prince of Persia games, controls are challenging but learnable. If you don't like games that require precision with timing and fancy footwork then this is not the game for you

  • Tough, but fun after a little patience...

I'd heard this game was hard and heard complaints about the controls, but it's a Prince of Persia game and I wanted to round out my growing collection. I was frustrated with some of the puzzles at first. The controls aren't as clunky as I somewhat expected. In fact, once I got the hang of it I stopped dying every 10 minutes. The story is amazing as always with Prince of Persia. I missed out on this game one PS2 and the Wii versions of everything are always more fun to me, even with the hit in graphics. All in all, without giving anything away I would have to say it was worth the purchase and the challenge makes it one of those games you can brag about beating when others complain about how it was too hard and they had to give up. Pssh. It really is fun once you get past the first hour of ...

  • Prince of Persia (Wii) Review

Well, it´s a port from Nintendo Game Cube, so the graphics are not THAT good for a nextgen video-game... Ubisoft could have added new things to the game, like more extras. But the game itself is good, there are funny videos during the game, it´s not a frustrating game that you need to get away from the TV to relax... And you can finish the game more than 2 times without getting sick of it. Ubisoft should have done more use of the Wii Controller, it´s just used for the knife/daggertail attacks and for some of that Prince of Persia impossibles acrobacies. If you like a good adventure game with lots of fight with monsters (like I do) then buy it. But if you don´t give a shit for swinging a controller like a sword and enjoy seeing decaptations, blood and partially nude enemies or you simply ...

  • BEST PRINCE OF PERSIA EVER!

Forget what you know about the Prince of Persia series. Let go the Sands of Time. Release your Warrior Within. Ubisoft Montreal has created a new Prince, in a new world, with a new female companion and a very different design philosophy. The longer you hold on to the style of last generation's Prince of Persia, the harder it will be to master the new one. Embrace the change and you're likely to fall in love with the new Prince (or at least his lovely companion). This time around, the eponymous star is tossed into a conflict between light and dark as the evil god Ahriman is released from his prison beneath the Tree of Life. His touch has corrupted a nearby kingdom; alongside the mysterious princess Elika, it's your job to cleanse the world of gooey blackness and put the bad guy back in the ...

  • ADDICTIVE!

I got Prince of Persia in the mail 2 days ago and I haven't stopped playing it. Once you start you get hooked. I could do without all of the stops in play for the story(plays like a movie for 1-2 minutes), but its well worth it. The controls are very easy to learn and you never get bored with the missions. Also, there are many places to save your game so when you die you don't have to start over every time. I would definitely recommend this game especially now that the price is dropping because it isn't a new release any more.
