Item was just as described (near new) and I had excellent communication with this seller. The item arrived much sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was the item could have been packaged better as the packaging was torn in places, exposing the the dust jacket of the book when I received it. Overall, a positive transaction.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

A good film always starts with good writing. People used to say comic books weren't filmable, but smart scripting has developed them into a respected genre. Skimpy children's books have been fleshed out into quality entertainment, and someday they'll finally make a decent movie based on a video game. Hey, why not use a soft drink commercial as inspiration? Because if they can make a blockbuster inspired by an old and dank Disneyland theme park ride, I'm convinced anything's possible if written well. Few thought 2003's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl would be a hit, but it was one of the year's most pleasant surprises—a funny, swashbuckling thrill ride that ultimately grossed more than $650 million worldwide. And now, few think that a sequel can possibly match that ...

  • Curse of the Black Pearl

Seen the film, loved it. My daughter wanted a copy. Took a while to get one on ebay because we kept getting outbid (must be popular). The DVD we eventually won was immaculate. Johnny Deppe is just fantastic in this film, so comical. The story is brilliant too, but of course you always know the hero will win. The pirates (skeletons) are good, although they could be a little scary to young children. Downside to this film? Can't think of any. Can't wait to watch the sequel.

  • PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

This is a FUN pirate movie, not one that gets bogged down in silly details, which quite honestly don't matter. OK, I really have no idea why Jack Sparrow wears so much eyeshadow, but I like it! I have no idea why a British sailor from early in the film suddenly pops up later as a pirate, but I like that too! And while we're at it, why does Jack Sparrow prance about like a cross between RuPaul and Nathan Lane? Who knows? Who cares? I love it! Curse of the Black Pearl leaps, bounds, and jumps in with an unstoppable, devil may care attitude. A pirate movie made with a pirate's sensibility for filmmaking... and just the kick in the pants the forgotten realm of pirate movies probably needs. Thanks for reading
