      One of my favorites

      I have been looking for movies of excellent portrayals of the life of Jesus and this is definitely one of the best. I have the Nativity Story for the birth, The Passion of the Christ for the crucifixion, and Risen for Jesus's resurrection. This one spans all that with a cinematic flair and great cast and acting. It really humanized the apostles and some of the other characters mentioned in the Bible. You really don't want to miss out on this treasure.

      A great cast with an unknown as the star, Robert Powell. Who portrays the Christ. Knowing he would never again, attain such a powerful role, Robert Powell, portrays Christ, as far as any man can do it. James Farentino as Simon called Peter, a well known actor in his own right, did a wonderful job. For anyone who wants to see the portrayal of Jesus, with out the scourging...this is the movie for you...Rod Steiger as Pontius Pilate...also did a wonderful job...And as he is crucified, the Roman Soldier who said: Truely he was the Son of God! portrayed by an extrmely well known John Wayne, with no credit intended. The centurion who had his slave healed..Ernest Borgnine...most of this particular story comes from Matthew, Luke and John and possible a few small tidbits from James. But even ...

      Embrace the life of Christ, & the suffering that Jesus went through for us.

      This is the best movie ever made depicting the life of Jesus Christ. I watch this movie every single year at Easter but the TV version is now filled with commercials and broken into 2 hour mini movies like when it was first shown on TV. Now I can watch it uninterrupted and when I want, as much as I want. I'm so glad that I found it at a great price on Ebay. I recommend this movie to any and all Christian's who have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and have accepted him into their daily lives. It's a great reminder to never take anything for granted and to ebrace all the small things in life. Nothing is ever to large or too small. We have to learn to live with what is thrown at us.       I was thrilled to be able to find this UNEDITED and full screen version of the original miniseries! The footage here on my DVD is very clear, and the color is great....This DVD is such an important movie to for me and everyone to own, and to be able to watch over again throughout my life is a great blessing!       Jesus of Nazareth is one of the best movies depicting the life of Jesus and the events that took place.

      Awesome movie, the best portrayal I have ever seen. A must watch for anyone who is interested in learning about our Lord and Savior. Extremely talented all star cast. They don't make movies like this anymore. I actually saw it on television when it first came out, was very pleased to be able to own it on DVD.
