a(nother) great movie
being a fan of the original series i kind of had to see the first movie, and then in turn the second. Waited an age for it to come on to tv with no success so thought i would see if i could get a cheap disc off eBay or Amazon. Thats when the fun begins as i then found out you could get it as 1 or 2 disc version. 2 disc versions are always better with lots of added stuff, but also it softens the pain if the film is on tv a week after you buy your disc (and wouldnt you credit it, less than a fortnight after i opened my disc there it was in the tv schedule - but at least i had the bonus bits and also it was on very late and buried so deep in the schedule you needed a flashlight to find it - i love this expression, it wasnt mine originally i just use it. i think it was penned in a US tv guide ... being a fan of the original series i kind of had to see the first movie, and then in turn the second. Anyway X files Movie 2 is a pretty spectacular film from the start, especially in super letterbox format, and its great to see the leading characters together again. But you dont have to have ever seen the series to enjoy the film - there are lots of good bits and great scenery! If you like thrillers give it a go. And roll on X files movie 3, eh?
