A Worthy Sequel
Ignore the previous chapters in this series - "Salvation," and "Genisys " (with its miscasting of Sarah Connor, Kyle Reece, and John Connor. Why is it so hard to find actors who at least actually resemble the originals? "Rise Of The Machines" is also guilty of the wrong choice for John Connor, but the film itself is actually very good) - Terminator : Dark Fate gets right back into it using some very clever c.g.i. for a scene that I didn't see coming, and provides a jolt that sets the scene for the return of Sarah Connor. I've heard some say that this is a very "right on, feminist, girl-power" movie . Well trust me, it's not. At no point is there the slightest hint of that. This movie is an all action, well paced and welcome addition to the franchise, with great performances ... This long-awaited offering in the Terminator story is a big disappointment in comparison to the tremendous releases preceding. A poor and disjointed story plot which does not entertain or thrill, and which even Arnie could not save. First time I have ever fast-forwarded due to boredom on any Terminator film. Linda Hamilton gives an abysmal performance and should never have been cast as John Connor's mother again. Overall, it proved the point to me - on this evidence - that the Terminator series has finally run its course and should now be closed off. Eagerly anticipated but disappointed
A good quality dvd, delivered on time and we'll packaged. The film itself I found disappointing, the story line was weak and the acting was patchy which in the end let the film down. I had really waited for this film, but in no way did it compare at all well with the other terminator films.
