It's a must-watch! Best documentary I've ever seen. Highly recommended!
I recently purchased the "Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story" (to avoid any confusions, another item appears listed above). I heard from a couple of friends about the legend of Barrett, but I had no idea the documentary would be THIS good. Absolutely mind-blowing, I am speechless. It's a masterpiece... so well put together... it perfectly depicts the rise and fall of a genius and how it influenced the people around him. Had no idea Pink Floyd would not have had their signature psychedelic sounds without Barrett. I think the best parts of the documentary were the old fashioned photos of Barrett and the band, accompanied by their best tracks in the background. Goosebumps!! This DVD in particular has a lot of extras such as uncut interviews with all the members of the band, a timeline, ... I recently purchased the "Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story" (to avoid any confusions, another item appears listed above). At Last, a Very Informative insight into Syd's life.
After having seen snatches of this Video or DVD on you-tube, I was thrilled to find someone selling this DVD on e-bay for a very reasonable price. It is a great 2-disc informative probe into Syd's life, and passing, with suberb interviews with the other band members, and explanations of how the Band has altered it's approach to their songs.

The Master
Syd Barrett will be greatly missed. His whimsical songwriting style was unique and greatly influenced many famous musicians like David Bowie. This dvd is an essential purchase for those wishing to know about a genuis.
