Elton John live in Australia
A great addition to my Elton John collection. I didn’t buy this earlier because I now have so many compilations of Elton John and I’ve never been a big fan of live albums. However the addition of the orchestra really puts a new twist on these old classics. The strings are amazing and really enhance the original recordings. On a couple of tracks you can hear how much strain Elton’s voice is under as the album was recorded shortly before he underwent throat surgery.Nevertheless it gives a raw edge to the recording.
