Successful treatment of rust
After sanding down my dry metal garden furniture and ornaments, applying Hammerite Smooth Black Direct To Rust Metal Paint was very simple and satisfying. I ensured that I had groundsheets in place to avoid staining from spillage but as it is a creamy constituency this is slight. Obviously, wearing gloves is advisable. The dry conditions during my days of painting added to the success of the venture and I can honestly say that my furniture looks like new with no visible signs of rust. You have to choose the right weather not too cold but when too sunny it drys too quickly! Why I wouldn’t recommend is because it’s something I don’t like to do. Everyone has different views on things and should find out theirselves not take other people’s opinion.

Hammerite black smooth paint
I thought that the smooth Hammerite black paint was very good indeed at painting on to iron gates. It seems as long as you keep storing the paint and pick a warm day, it is a pleasure to paint with.I will use it again

The paint arrived although the tin was very dented it wasn't leaking so we kept it and the paint was fine inside. We would recommend for painting metal only needed one coat with this paint
