    Excellent!!

    Excellent weight for very large umbrellas. My umbrella is 2.5 metres and this heavyweight base keeps it standing even in the recent gusty winds we've had in my location. I whole heartedly recommend this base, it is the best I have ever bought as far as bases go. It is also very unassuming but attractive with a rubber surround for grip when you are moving it but warning, it is quite weighty.

    Poor construction and design

    The rubber protection around the bottom comes off too easily.The concrete then chips and its shape is too narrow therefore keeping it unbalanced when a parasol is inserted, it only takes a light wind to topple.

    Sturdy base for sun umbrella.

    It is a nice solid base and seems to withstand strong winds. I think the pole to hold the umbrella could be stronger as it can sway about. Overall a good product for the price.

    Looks smart and modern

    Very heavy and charcoal grey finish is very modern looking. Fitting adapts to two sizes of pole. Still blew over in the wind but I despair of finding anything that doesn't.
