    INCREDIBLE FILM MAKING

    If you are not familiar with Korean cinema and are into cinema in general, I highly recommend this film as a starting poing. The Koreans are master technicians to being with, perhaps learning some of this from the Americans, but in any case, superb camera work and image quality are hallmarks of their films. The second part, is they take an American premise, a vampire story, and give it a uniquely Asian point of view. Their scripts constantly surprise and entertain in unexpected way. They have a wonderful sense of humor, as you can see in the hilarious comedy, PUBLIC ENEMY. The acting in Korean films is almost universally superb. I worked in the American film industry as a writer, director, and technician for over ten years, so I am not talking out of my hat. Give Korean cinema a shot, but ...
