Firstly, it will not fit a standard TOASTY loaf, slice of bread. Secondly, the settings go up to 6, and on a 6, the toast is barely yellow and you have to start it again for it to turn even remotely brown. if you like it dark, like I do, you have to cook it three times... Utter rubbish.... Forget cooking crumpets in it, it takes 5 attempts to get them brown.
