Gritty, but very dated acting.
I don't think that Amityville 2 has a UK Bluray release, so I was happy to buy this Spanish copy. Amityville 2 is definitely showing it's age as far as effects go re: prosthetics etc, but the movie has some good gritty performances. The possession and exorcism trope has pretty much swamped the horror genre and is becoming stale, something new is needed. The Amityville tale really needs revamping and modernising now, I thought it might be on the cards for The Conjuring 3 - but unfortunately not. Hauntings are now wished for in todays climate rather than feared. I mean, the Amityville horror house is pretty much a tourist attraction destination for fans of horror.I don't think that Amityville 2 has a UK Bluray release, so I was happy to buy this Spanish copy.
