About this product

Product Information

Play as a variety of Disney and Final Fantasy characters in “Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories” for the Sony PlayStation 2. The characters include Goofy, Donald Duck, and Jiminy Cricket. This game combines a role-playing adventure with a collectible card game. Cards are what primarily drive the plot forward, and battles are card-based. The role-playing aspect is where players increase the strength of their characters. The story in this game picks up right where the first game left off with the main character, Sora, and his group of friends trapped in Castle Oblivion. This 3D game is rated E, so it is suitable for everyone ages 10 and up. It features four never-before-seen mini-games. It's also compatible with some versions of the PS3 console. Each regional edition of Kingdom Hearts works with any PS2 console for the region it's branded to. Earlier PlayStation 3 models also work with this series. It has all of the content that the original “Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories” Game Boy Advance cartridge came with, but the developers packed in quite a few extras as well. If you liked the GBA version, you're going to love this remix of Chain of Memories. Each Kingdom Hearts character gets a speaking voice. The Kingdom Hearts design team tapped professionals like Haley Joel Osment and Leonard Nimoy to lend their voices. There are also numerous cut scenes that help to explain all of the action in Chain of Memories. The story takes place slightly before the adventure that Sora has in Kingdom Hearts II. Lord Marluxia might be responsible for people losing their memories, and so Sora is called upon to do battle across numerous Disney-inspired worlds to get everyone's memories back. Various cards have been made from the memories that Sora himself had. He's going to need every last card he can get to save the world and King Mickey along with it. Riku certainly seems laid back in spite of what's going on.Those cards are extremely important to collect in the Kingdom Hearts action RPG. Each card has a different ability, and the battle system is based around unleashing these abilities. If Sora has a number of cards in his hand, he chains these cards together to release powerful magic. Extra points are earned if the cards Sora uses are more powerful than those of his opponents. Like in any Square Enix game, he also buys an extra card or two from a friendly Moogle. He is able to use it against an enemy in the next fight if equipped.Riku has his own story in this original installment of Kingdom Hearts. All of the attacks Riku uses are different from those of Sora as well. He's selectable along with Riku in any of the miniature games inside of this PS2 title. Watch out, though, because Riku uses a dark card here and there to summon devastating powers. You need all the help you can get when you go up against Ansem. When you're ready for the miniature games, put this disc in your PlayStation and watch the time fly by.

Package arrived within a reasonable amount of time and was exactly as described by the Seller. I bought multiples from this Seller and will be buying more from them soon. This Seller has some of the best prices I've found so far if you looking to buy in bulk for your action figure mods. I'd definitely recommend and buy from this Seller again

    The Hided Gen

Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories is a flawed but amazing game. Within the Kingdom Hearts franchise this game takes place before the story went crazy and still somewhat grounded as much as Darkness can be grounded. During this game you’ll see characters interact in ways the other Kingdom Hearts games haven’t done since this game. As for the gameplay.. It is very slow at the begging, however it is very much compelling to gain combos and new abilities throughout the game. Once you hit a certain point and you put in a little bit of time into this gameplay. You’ll be rocking and enjoying building your decks. As for everything else.. its a Kingdom Hearts game. High quality is the norm.

While the disc arrived fine, the case was shoved in a small bubble mailer, which damaged the plastic and the game’s artwork. Disappointed, as this would otherwise have been a great buy. Now I’ll have to try and find a replacement case for the disc and manual.

  • Not the Best, but great for knowing what happened

With Kingdom Hearts 3D on the way, I wanted to buy this game to help recapture the spirit before going on to the next installment of Kingdom Hearts. I like how it was transferred over to PS2 from GBA, because in the GBA version, you only had 4 buttons, and transferring it over to PS2 makes it much easier to play. I also enjoyed having the option to go into the theater to view my favorite scenes. The game also includes a story called "Reverse/Rebirth" which lets you play as Riku. I found the story quite useless to the story, but if it's included in a game that's mandatory to the timeline, it doesn't really matter. The game must have been done in a hurry, because the cutscenes are poor in graphic quality. I had to skip most of the cutscenes because more than half consist of cutsenes consist ...

  • A Must Own For Fans of the Series

This 3rd game in the Kingdom Hearts Series to grace the PS2 is actually the second game in the storyline. Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories is a revamped version of Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Introuducing a new battle system and a remade mini game system RE: Chain of Memories fills in many gaps between KH1 and KH2, it is also the first apperance of the strange Orginization XIII. The graphics have been reprocessed for the PS2 and while they have tweaked a few things they didn't take care of some other things. The Card type battle system while new has it's downfalls such as you don't choose how you attack you must leave it to the cards, same with magic and summons...However any fan of the series should purchase this if you didn't play it on GameBoy Advanced. Overall a fun addition ...

  • Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories for the Playstation 2 wasn't a bad game. The story is pretty good, it develops as you go through the floors. I think the reason why they stuck to the card based turn system is cause of the Game Boy format, it adds to the fun of the game. Once I got it figured out it was pretty easy. The card system is not that bad if you build up your CP then you can do the same hits as you did KH 1 and 2. You can even use magic and sleights that make battling fun and a little different. You get to visit worlds from KH 1 and there are the Nobody's from KH 2 are in it as well. Plus you don't get to be a merman in Atlantica you get to be yourself and breath underwater, much easier then in KH 1. Plus once you beat Sora's story you get to play Riku's story as well. I ...
