Synopsis
It was 421 years prior when humans became divided into two branches. The Year of Death happened worldwide because of a virus. A scientist tried to warn the establishment of the threat. One-third of the world's population didn't get the virus. The second third got the virus but survived. The remaining third of humanity died. Ultimately, there would be three branches of human: the ones that didn't get the virus and now called T-Human (true humans), the second group is called EPB (enhanced pure bloods) and the third group is called Mixed Blood, because the T-Humans and EPBs began to marry So the third group ultimately were referred to as Mixed Bloods. YARMA knew she was different. She lived in the village of Oakhedge. The whole village was 100 percent true humans. T-human was what they were called because they were the original branch of humanity centuries ago. One incident led most folks in her village to become afraid of her, except for five friends. They never feared her and, since she was an only child, they became part of her family. That morning, the day of her 17th birthday, she woke up feeling trapped among her sheets. Once again calling to her were a pair of piercing azure blue eyes staring from a dark void. It was her mysterious man! Breathing hard, air filling her lungs by leaving her gasping, she shot up in her bed. Her heartbeat pounded, she yelled, "not again. Damn it!" She decided to ignore the vision haunting her. She walked up the path to the Sanctuary to bring tomatoes to Elder Andrew, then glanced up and immediately stopped in her tracks. She felt a gentle pull towards whoever her surrogate father was talking to; then the visitor turned to see her. Yarma's heart began racing. As his face turned to look in her direction, she held no fear. She knew him. It was her imaginary man. QUINN was classified as an EPB- enhanced pure blood. It became the second human group of humanity now. He was a playboy and spent a lot of time at The Obelisk, everyone's favorite nightclub. He would get into fights and drink a lot, and there was one female that offered him to screw her any time he wanted. Besides him being a playboy and troublemaker, he also was a historian and loved finding junk from the past in the century's old city. He had found a piece of scroll that intrigued him, so he brought it to Andrew. That was when he first met Yarma; it was her seventeenth birthday. The young man was fascinated seeing the young girl. Andrew said to him, 'Yarma's not like your ladies', then he told him to take the scroll to Jonathon. When he got to the city, Quinn went straight to Jonathon; the head of the Historical Council. Looking at the scroll, his professor said the scroll was probably like the other things Quinn found in the ancient city, just a scrap of old paper. Once Jonathon had read the scroll, he pushed Quinn out the door and locked it. For the three long years after he had met Yarma, he couldn't get the girl out of his mind. Ultimately, he saved Yarma from death after those three years. She was now a woman; he saved her from dying in the old city. She was now twenty. He took her unconscious to her Oakhedge home, but he stopped at Andrew's since he didn't know where her house was. Andrew and Yarma's mama quietly talked and paced as the woman was still unconscious. He stayed in the shadows, listening to their conversation in whispers. That was when Quinn learned that Yarma wasn't who she thought., It was 421 years after the Year of Death, when humans became divided into two branches. Yarma knew she was different. She lived in the village of Oakhedge but tried to keep it secret. One incident led most folks in her village to become afraid of her; their children would not even say hi. Except for five friends... Margie, the twins, Jordan and Evan. They never feared her and, since she was an only child, they became part of her family. That morning the day of her 17th birthday, she woke up feeling trapped among her sheets. Once again calling to her were a pair of piercing azure blue eyes staring from a dark void. It was her mysterious man! Breathing hard, air filling her lungs by leaving her gasping, she shot up in her bed. Her heartbeat pounded... not again. Damn it! Once she relaxed, Yarma decided to take ripe tomatoes from their garden to Elder Andrew, who was kind of a surrogate father. As she walked up the path to the Sanctuary, glanced up and Immediately stopped in her tracks. She felt a gentle pull towards whoever the Elder was talking to; then the visitor turned to see her. Yarma's heart began racing. She held no fear. She knew him. As his face turned to look in her direction... it was her imaginary man. Her surrogate father turned to see her face as she spotted his visitor. She looked like she recognized the young man standing there. He watched Quinn as the young man looked at her; all Andrew could do was mutter under his breath, "it's too soon for them to meet." Then Quinn asked, "who is she?" Andrew knew he had no choice but to say, "today is her 17th birthday and her name is Yarma." His friend didn't miss how brusque his voice sounded. Why?
