The picture quality is reasonable, but is good for testing. It will not give a sharp, crystal clear image, if you want that, look elsewhere. If you set the RF box to 1080P and your new tv does not use this signal, then it will stay blank. You will have to find another tv that will now use 1080p to reset the box back to 720p.
