It doesn't Smell quite the same. The viscosity is suspect. I wonder what % of Oil is in this product ( Nowadays) It's not the supplier - but the product. Will see how it performs.

The best for your wood.
This is the best treatment for wood, far better than the very expensive coloured water that is all I can get in local stores. I was so pleased to be able to get it on eBay. I add more oil to it as well.

A good second best.
Bought 2x4litres of light brown Creocote to replace my own stock of the same product.Very easy to apply. I don't think creosote substitutes preserve timber as good as the real thing, which is no longer available. Even so definitely more pleasant to use.

Oil based stain
Because its an oil based product it allows water to run off the shed and prevents water seeping in, although in this damp weather the water just hangs about anyway. The only thing on rough sawn timber it tends to take longer for the odour to subside which can be quite strong, however this normally goes away after a couple of weeks. I`d definitely use it again.

Good product
I have used this before on outside tables etc and fences and it is the best product I have found for preserving and protecting wood. Good colour and easy to apply. I paid extra to have it delivered in two days but it took three days to arrive!
