    So far, so good

    After about a week of use, It's working very well. With the analog temperature control it's hard to get the temp exactly how you want it, but it's not too bad. It's cooling about 300 sq. ft. easily with outside temps in the low 90s and close to 100% humidity. Installation was very easy to do with one person, and no need to go outside other than to remove the window screen. I get a small amount of water intrusion when it rains, but I may have skipped a step or two on the installation. If it lasts a reasonable length of time, I'll be very happy with it.

    5 Star Rating on the little Frigidaire Air Conditioner

    The air conditioner is compact. We did not mount it in a window. We cut out the wall of our guest house and fitted the air conditioner in perfectly. It cools, even in the Texas summer heat, the small guest house. A perfect size, easy to use air conditioner that takes little room. Recommend this product.

    Best deal anywhere!!

    I turned mine by DIY modified by me Personal AC from Window AC!! The Blue Storage Bin is made fluting up from the base so it does not have any issues w/ Air Flow. Gonna cost me a lot less in the Summer. Apartments now allowing Window AC's has been an issue for me.

    This Frigidaire 5000 BTU Air conditioner...

    This Frigidaire 5000 BTU Air conditioner is very energy conserving, and puts out a good cool breeze. It is much more efficient (about 1/2 the wattage) than 5000BTU portable air conditioners. It is a good fit for solar power.

    Good quality for the mnoey

    Ultimately I don't think this is as powerful as I wanted it to be, but for $150 it's still pretty good. It would be better if I was able to keep the door to my room shut and keep the unit on for a lengthy period of time, but as it is now it just cools the room a little bit as I sleep and is a nice fan. It was easy to set up, took about 10-15 minutes total.
