    Rock Stable Easy Overclock

This chip has an unlocked multiplier. With only a 0.04 Volt increase, my particular chip runs flawlessly at 3.7 Ghz. Using a decent CPU air cooler, temps are extemeley low. People routinely run this chip at 4.0 GHz with a 0.10 overvoltage. Bootup is very quick and processor load while in use is usually in the range of 25%. If you need to keep running legacy software, this is a great way to keep your system running fast as workloads increase. You can also set up your system to dual boot with any 64 Bit Windows system and Windows XP.....but it does take some knowhow. If the price of this one is too high,....you can buy a 3.0 GHz fixed frequency version for around $35 and 3.3 GHz dual-channel version of this thing for $25, neither one is a slouch for any normal work or light gaming.

  • Highly recommended to get one if you have a old computer with a motherboard that uses a LGA 775 CPU Processor.

This Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 CPU Processor made a world difference for my computer. It is now much faster and process data Instantly. For this was a great price. Thank you

  • A decent processor for final upgrade on socket 775 if you get decent price

Its a great processor. The 1* review on performance says a CPU with a 2100 benchmark on the most authoritative site is better than this one, which benchmarks over 4000. I seriously question this. OTOH why someone would spend $180 on this when they could just buy a great board and new i5; that is another question. Certainly a decent processor, but at the prices some ask I'd just put my ram into a mobo that is current (and will have a better future)and get a new processor. New faster i5s at $150 so you can figure it out.
