I sought this out after reading a book by Billy Crystal called "700 Sundays" and this DVD was mentioned in the book. I am glad I found the DVD as it was very informative and entertaining. Billy does a great job of paying tribute to his uncle Milt Gabler (on his mother's side.) Most people probably never heard of Milt but he had a lot to do with the music I grew up with and love. Milt was a man ahead of his time in that he worked with everyone who loved Jazz - that meant Black or White or anyone. Before Milt, it was unheard of for a Black man to work in the same recording studio with a White. Milt was color blind when it came to his life and in the 40's and 50's that was a gift that helped bring the changes of the 60's our nation so needed. Beyond the obvious story here - the music is great too! If you love Rock and Roll, Jazz and history, this DVD is for you! Billy Crystal makes it just that much better.Read full review
