  • History At Its Best

Watching the birth and astounding growth of the personal computer was an incredible part of my past. Just as amazing though, was for my teenaged son and me to watch and enjoy it through the vantage point of Robert X. Cringely. Beginning at the beginning, Cringely displays his humor and own hapless history as he tells the story of some "nerds" who existed mostly to play with their electronic toys--and ended up changing the world! Interviews with the famous and not-famous pioneers of the tech revolution (such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Larry Ellison) showcase the blend of talent, skills, and luck that brought vast fortunes to many, and the information age to all.
