Compared against my earlier hand held Dymo unit, this one is so much better. Still has all the print facilities of older machine plus some others. Fewer AA (4 not 6) batteries to power unit, but still has the auto turn off in case you forget. "Special characters("!? etc") much easier to find and access. The wider screen with contrast settings to suit users own vision a very nice addition It also allows almost full width of heat sensitive tape printing if that's what you require. Additions to the borders menu make printing of labels more fun for all. If you need a label printer for home/school/craft purposes then this should be your first unit to look at.

This label printer is inexpensive but basic. The A-Z layout is bizarre and takes some getting used to. The 2-line format is useless as it squashes the letters into a 1-line space rather than reduce the already generous top and bottom margin. The excess tape at the ends of each label after it prints is wasteful and probably designed to use up your cartridge quicker. The text is too small even on the largest setting.

I love this little label printer. If you just need the basics it's a winner. For the price of the printer and the cost of refills, it's an ideal workshop/office device. It's a great little work horse. Remember to close the cover before printing, as it won't print. I wish I had invested in one years ago. I've gone through 2 rolls already. I love it and would recommend it to all. Cost effective printer and refills. A winner for me!!

Quality item that prints on paper, plastic vinyl film & fabric iron-on labels. It's very simple to setup & use & also replacing the cartridges is straightforward. Provided that you shop around, ensuring that you pay less than £30 including P&P then it's good value. The cartridges again you shouldn't be paying any more than £3 for the paper & no more than £4 for the iron-on type you should be getting a good, affordable product with low running costs just be careful to use good quality rechargeable batteries.

Love this label maker! I wanted one of these for so long & finally ordered it. It's very easy to use, even my kids print off labels. I've labelled so much stuff, I need to buy some more cartridges. You can change the font, make it bold & even put borders around it. I would highly recommend it.

This produces reasonably smart labels that stick quite well to most surfaces. I don't expect them to be as durable as labels embossed on plastic. There are a host of formatting options of which I will probably only use a few. The options aren't as flexible as you would get by using Microsoft Word to print onto sticky labels. The largest text size doesn't look good because it's out of proportion. There are a vast number of special symbols; however it is rather tedious selecting them. I like the feature that it switches off if unused for a while. The battery usage seems reasonable so far. The genuine tapes are rather pricey - I'll be trying cheaper tapes when the genuine tape runs out.

This is a replacement for a 12 year old dymo printer that died on me. It has a slightly different layout to the older one, but all the same functions, and it does all that I want it to do. It prints clearly, with options of different size text and with different types and colours of background material, even transparent and magnetic.

This label maker is a better quality giving its cost. The keyboard isn't a qwerty one so I struggle to identify letters location. Also it doesn't have background light too. I think I knew that before buying. With that said, I guarantee you that the print quality is excellent so what are you waiting for? You can save files, change fonts plus more. It's just easy to use. Yes, I recommend it.

This is a great little product, its so easy to use and looks well built. Batteries in, power on, type out label, print, cut job done. Only minor gripe is that its a bit heavy.

I needed a label printer for quite some time, and shopped around looking at different models made by Brother and Dymo. In the end after much research I opted for Dymo for the following reasons. Firstly, Dymo replacement cartridges were much cheaper than Brother cartridges. The Dymo letratag had a modern design with a wider selection of fonts and styles to choose from. You can also use the Dymo with an AC charger plug, which I bought separately afterwards, so I didn't have to keep on replacing the batteries. I guess I could use rechargeable batteries as well. In conclusion I would recommend this product over the Brother products, you can buy different colour cartridges to suit your requirements. I bought silver, yellow and white labels for various usage. Go out and get one today, you won't regret it.Read full review
