Product Information

Square Enix' persistent world role-playing game receives its third expansion disc in Treasures of Aht Urhgan. New jobs, monsters, and areas are available to undertake, battle, or explore, respectively, adding more diversity to the existing Final Fantasy world of Vana'diel. The new realm is reachable by ship from the shores of Mhaura after the requisite quests are completed. Once players fulfill their objectives, they will be whisked away to the Empire of Aht Urhgan, a region populated by a diverse set of zones that includes twin volcanoes, wastelands, underground caverns, and more. Trolls, black puddings, beast men, and other unsavory monsters populate the lands.<br><br>New mission types include assault and besieged. The former supports three to six adventurers in a series of missions to earn assault points, which can be traded in for items, cash, or experience. The latter involves defending a fort or town from marauding beasts, with successful attempts rewarding players with new quests or equipment. Players are also able to explore the world using one of three new jobs or character classes, including a blue mage, corsair, and puppetmaster, each with distinct abilities. Chocobo breeding is introduced in this expansion as well, allowing players to nurture their flightless birds over time before entering them in races for cash and prizes.

    Wasted Money

    I couldn&apos;t really say anything good about this game, because I haven&apos;t been able to play it. I have the newer &quot;slim&quot; PS2 and can not purchase a hard drive for it. A hard drive and broadband connection are required to play this. And I&apos;m also told if you do have an older PS2 and have the hard drive and broadband connection that you need a credit card for a monthly fee for play online service. So all in all I would give this a 1 out of 10 being that I am not able to play.

    Final Fantasy XI

    The reason i bought this game is because im a huge fan of the Final Fantasy Series. I happend to be a player for FFXI online, and i needed this expansion to enter the awesome new areas. And get the 3 new jobs aveilable. Its a really good MMO where ppl get together and enjoy a good time.

    Incredible expansion

    Just when I started getting bored with the game, this expansion comes out and basically revitalizes the entire game. Seriously, it's like playing a new game, with new areas, activities, quests and jobs. This is for all the level 75 players who think the game is getting boring... Trust me... the Near East territories in this game are out of this world.

    FFXI expansiion

    good quality, arrived on time, worth it if you want continue the game. The game is needed to move on toward enviroments so your not left behind, good seqeual, more graphics, only downside would probably be the updates if your getting it now.
