  • One of the Classics, which cannot be bettered

An amazing camera even now. First released 2003 and the very first digital camera to use the smaller SD card, which made the camera smaller, the size of a credit card but rather thick. It was a "Fashion Accessory" for the trendy set when it came out. I have an SLR and two other compact cameras and if all you want are pictures for "AV shows" (slide shows) this is ideal as you hardly need to reduce the size of 3.2 mp as you would have to do with cameras with ten times more megapixels. It also prints 6" x 4" prints from machines in a shop without losing anything from either side. It has a number of settings for quality, I choose to use "Finest" and that gives me pin sharp images even using the zoom setting. I've use dit at Macro setting in daylight and with the flash and the images are ...

  • Canon Ixus II Digital Camera

This camera is ideal for the ameteur, in this case my wife, who just wishes to take a camera out of her handbag and take a picture. It takes brilliant pictures that download and print easily and the only thing that may be worn out if you buy it second hand is the battery. This can easily be replaced on E-Bay at any time. The best part of this purchase was that the camera was second hand but looked after to perfection. It was in the original box with all of the original cables, discs and accessories. I have owned three of these cameras at different times and am still a great fan.

  • Canon Ixus II

Wery good camera, but too small display. Good quality shots as for camera produced in 2003 year. Problem - red eyes on a lot of photos then pictured with flash. Accu ~70-80 shots with LCD on. No image stabilizator. 128MB card will fit near 100 highest quality/size shots. Has optical view finder. In 2003 price was ~£300-£400 pounds (£300 - 2003 year pound value, £400 - price in 2003 year and todays pound walue compared to euro)

  • Excellent pocket camera.

My first and best digital camera. The ratio of good to bad photos is very good indeed and some of my very best photos have been from this camera. I took it everywhere with me. Sadly, after 45,000 or so photos the CCD unit failed. Canon replaced the camera under warranty but with a different, newer model, the IXUS 40 which is nothing like as good as the IXUS v2. There is a lot more to good photos than mega-pixel count and the v2 is proof of that.

  • Crracking little camera

Bought to replace the failed Ixus II my 6 year old daughter uses (had survived the not so tender mercies of her two older sisters but old age finally got the better of it!) these are great little cameras, they may only be 3.2Mp but will blow away the pics of cheaper cameras with 2 or 3 times the pixel count.
