Poor hinge design!
I chose a Stanley toolbox as I'd always associated the name with quality. Alas, this is just not the case here; the hinges have been designed in such a way that if they are opened further than 90 degrees they lever themselves apart, & this design flaw has no apparent reason that I can see. I've tried to modify the hinges by removing the small extensions which appear to cause the problem but to no avail; I fancy that the hinges had already become distorted when it first happened. I trust that Stanley will address this problem sooner rather than later & can re-establlish their good reputation with me, at least!I chose a Stanley toolbox as I'd always associated the name with quality.
