We got way more than we bargained for with this camera. We bought it to supplement our Canon 5D Mark II and in most ways it smokes it. From the flip out screen to focus face recognition follow tracking to using SD cards rather than compact flash, this has quickly taken the lead for us when shooting video, which is why we have these cameras to begin with. High quality pics, super easy to use, and less than a third the price of a 5D Mark IV should we choose to upgrade. Lightweight as well. The only complaint might be that you can't control or monitor the sound input but we record sound separately anyway. BTW the built in mic actually does a great job, much to our surprise. Highly recommended, especially at its price point. It'll get a lot more use than our 5D, particularly on our basic projects, quick shoots and interviews, and remote projects in the field. We'll also be using it for flying on our crane jib and glide cam. Oh and it also has wi-fi and GPS if you need either.Read full review

TI've had this camera now for a little over two months and it has exceeded my expectations. Compared to using a cell phone or an inexpensive digital camera this DSLR blows the image quality of the others out of the water. Not only does it create great images and videos but it's fairly easy to use, a quick learning curve. It definitely has it's quirks but nothing that gets in the way of using it. the battery life could be better and some of the menu screens are kind of bulky but this is all overshadowed by the great features this camera offers. Love the audio mic input, flip screen, autofocus, and easy controls. I highly recommend this camera especially as an introduction into the DSLR world.

I bought this for my wife as a replacement for a more technical, higher-end camera I bought her for Christmas. She is a prolific photographer, and pretty good, but does not care to delve into the technical aspects of photography. The T76i is perfect for her. It combines the high image quality and flexibility of a DSLR with many of the user-friendly features common on point-and-shoot models. She loves the preset modes and the articulating viewing screen. It is light enough to hold to take selfies, yet is hefty enough to provide a sense of confidence that your photos will turn out spectacularly. The image quality is more than sufficient for the types of photos that she takes and the features are probably more than she will ever find a use for, but it is nice knowing that this camera will likely never be a limitation for my wife's photography aspirations.Read full review

I used to have a Canon 60D and a SL1 as backup. As I have back issues I couldn't carry the 60D on long trips, so I took the SL1. However, I did fell the leap between the two of them, causing me to begin the search for a new one that could fit in the gap. I've had the T6i for a few weeks now and I think I really made a great choice. Don't get me wrong, the 60D for me still is a better camera for professional heavy duty work, but the T6i is fabulous for long trips and pleasure photography. If you can only have one, the T6i won't dissapoint you either. Compared to the SL1 I'll have to say it is indeed a bit bigger but that's actually a good thing, because the grip is far better on the T6i and all the additional features are a big plus. Some of the most noticeable features are the Wifi capability, the autofocus points, the ISO dedicated button and the quality of the images and video. Sure it is all plastic and won't take a good drop as a magnesium body would or withstand the rain, but for the price tag I think it is understandable. I have been using it on a bunch of different scenarios, such as outdoors, indoor portrait, studio, social events and it has not let me down yet. If you are a beginner you will find it very easy to use and understand, and if you are pro you will find it really useful as a second body or as non work travel or pleasure option just as I did.Read full review

Very nice camera with lots of features. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it really is too complex for most users. I learned photography back in the 1960s with B&W film and having to manually setting everything . Over the years I updated cameras for film, even bought a Canon EOS 650 (a fantastic film camera). I'm having to learn how to really "use" this T6i which is no easy task even knowing what the settings/features do. If you are at least semi serious about really learning more than point and shoot, this camera will get you there. And if all you want are good snapshots, then set it to Auto or Program and get some very good snapsots, but it is overkill for snapshots.
