The headphone cable was a replacement for a faulty cable which had wires poking through the broken plastic cord. I can hear stereo sound through the headphones now which is good. But the +/- volume switch doesn't make any difference to the volume, although the volume switch on the old cable didn't work either. Do you know why this might be? Thank you.
