    it is a great series of books

    This is an easy way of getting all 3 of the first 5 books in one volume saving shelf space. It takes off where Enchanter's Endgame left off and continues the story. Well worth the money. If you bought the three books separately it would cost you over $23 and you get them all for only $18. The stories are just as good as the Belgariad series with new and old characters joining the journey lots of the usual enemies joining the fight.

    read Belgariad first.

    Mallorean is a continuation of Belgariad...there are 10 books total in the 2 series. If you want even more in depth to the series...read Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress when you are done. Then there is another book the Riven Codex that goes with these books. All in all, Eddings did a great job with such a lengthy series.

    This is a fantastic series by a brilliant guy. A saga truly worthy of songs and ballads. I've read these books so many times and they just don't get old.
