I do like the rotor which gives excellent cooking
This is my 1st air fryer, so i really have no comparison. I do like the rotor which gives excellent cooking, ideal for chips. I wanted 2 things out of my air fryer, to eat healthy and to save money (not using my larger oven) which i think this archives.

As expected
Like the product, it was what we expected. The stirring paddle isn’t the easiest thing to clean, but the rest is easy. The instructions for what each menu item is for, what can and can’t be cooked or what to do to set things up manually are far from clear.

This one doesn't seem as efficient as our old version which recently died. The paddle breaks up food, which didn't happen with the old one. You can see the entire contents moving round in a single lump, only occasionally breaking up when something happens to hit the small knob near the handle. The design of the pan, which is higher in the middle and should stop stuff leaking underneath, is superior, as is the method of paddle attachment. The paddle shape is obviously inferior since it doesn't flip over the food when it rotates. It doesn't seem to run as hot as the previous version so stuff takes bit longer to cook. The timer system is overly complicated but works fine once you have worked out how to use it. The beeps that you hear when the timer ends are no where near loud enough - ... Our previous version had a simple timer and was much louder and easy to hear outside the room. The worst thing is that when it's not being used, the display backlight is on and the LED segments whizz around in some kind of standby routine. This lights up the kitchen at night. Seems like a waste of energy to me, and especially stupid these days. This would indicate the the power supply is fully active too, and thus more likely to be the part that dies first. The additional basket is a must-buy and we use it all the time. Still, when the last one broke we really missed it - we wouldn't be without an Actifry!

I bought this item as now living alone it seemed not efficient to switch a big oven on to cook for one the controls are very easy to understand and the food cooked is very flavoursome

Fast, easy to clean, not heavy and compact.
I like the extra capacity, its much faster than my old actifry and still compact, getting used to loading the pan out of the machine, previous model lid opened wider, not an issue. Good machine, recommend.
