A few VERY GOOD all-time Classic Games.
All of the dozen or so "Arcade Classic" games on this CD make it worth its price. With maybe 4 or 5 exceptions, most of the rest of of the games, many of which are Atari 2600 versions, are "cheesey" to the point they will not see much play time other than to just see what they are. Had no problem installing it on a laptop running Win XP, and everything ran just fine. I do like the interface for selecting the different games which allows setting the options for each game individually. All-in-all, I really like this CD, and there are a few truly great games on here that played huge role in helping spawn the video game revolution. My personal favorites would have to be "Gravitar", "Space Dual", and "Asteroids" which all play exactly like one would find them at an arcade. I like the great reproduction of Atari's classic games. The emulation modes for PC are nearly flawless, with one minor exception. The playability of some of these games is classic, most notably Asteroids, Millipede and Battlezone. Additional cabinet art and background is interesting, but what really is useful is the ability to load and play on PC's with little memory and slow processor speed (Less than 300Mhz, 128 MB Ram). these are great classics. they are the real deal with the same screen feel as the old monster games we pumped quarters into. using the keyboard and mouse are different than the old game trackballs, buttons, etc. but you adapt. its just atari games remember so if you had a real favorite in the arcade, search and find out who made it, if its 1980's and Atari, its in here!

Doesn't work on Windows 10.
If you run the games directly from the executables (as opposed to the menu) some work, but some will not work on Windows 10, even in compatibility mode.

Won't run on Vista. Works fine on XP. Have played several games on laptop & all worked fine. If you have an XP machine & want to play the old Atari games this will work. I don't have a desktop with XP so I can't tell how the mouse will work though.
