The seller had to be contacted twice to get a full refund. The shipping cost was very expensive and item was poorly packaged. I have been buying items from ebay for many years and this is the first time I have delt with a seller whose listing was so blatantly dishonest. Buyers beware!

    Interested in old pens? This book has information about them.

    A book about pens, old and very old.Mr. Bowen evidently updated the book from time to time, and includes photos, history, advertisements, and relevant information about the several manufacturers he lists, their models, materials, technical advancements. The book itself is in pretty good condition, considering its age and that it is a paperback.

    Fascinating history and some technical information on older pens. Buy one.

    The book arrived quickly and safely in great condition. Though the pages are all black and white, the reproductions of old catalogue pages and ads are generally clear. Text is divided logically, there are reference pages, and the pens pictured are identified. The author provides historical information on both the pens and their manufacturers. Although the prices for pens are out of date, other information on collectible items remains a good resource for collectors, hobbyists, and users of fountain pens.
