I like this Crimping Tool Kit.
After some home refurbishments, I needed to remake our home network. I looked on eBay for a network crimping tool. I found this set for a great price, and it came with RJ45 plugs tops and stripper tool. I took it out of the package and prepared the cable ends. Took the crimping tool and fitted all the plugs. No practice. No reading the instructions. Just put the plug on the cable, put the plug in the crimping tool, and gently squeezed. Job Done !!! That simple. Anyway. I like this crimpng set. It works.
Not the highest quality tool, the plugs that come with it don't have holes in them so you have to cut the cable to the exact length that they need to be to go in. Crimping the end was a little difficult to get it in the right place to actually crimp it. Once everything was done and in the right place the plug seems to hold up alright but overall just a bit more fiddly and difficult to use than tools that cost a bit more. For the price it's better than I had expected but not a 5 star product it works you wouldn't want to make a lot of cat 5 with it only the occasional end here or there.Not the highest quality tool, the plugs that come with it don't have holes in them so you have to cut the cable to the exact length that they need to be to go in. Good value item that does exactly what it should
Given the low price, I was expecting a crimper that was 'just up to the job'. However, this feels and acts like a good quality product. It has allowed me to make and repair three ethernet cables (so far). I recommend this item if you are planning to make your own cables, or repair broken connections on the end of existing cables. Good value at the price.

Buy the blue one crimping Tool RJ45 Cat5. Not product shown, this has been altered by someone else.
The original pic has been altered. It should show a Yellow handled Cat 5 termination tool.of which 4 out of 5 connections failed. I think the comb press damages the plastic plug..preventing the final connection. The blue one . A little more expensive uses a flat press. Works every time. U get what you pay for. Ken.
