Battlefield 1942 strives to give players an action-oriented first-person perspective on the wide variety of infantry regiments, advanced vehicles, strategic maneuvers, and violent battles that came together to turn the tide in World War II. The game is designed to represent nearly every major factor in WWII to some extent, featuring all four branches of the military, conflicts in the Pacific and European theaters, and the opportunity to play as an Axis or Allied force.<br><br>Single players enter Battlefield 1942 as noncommissioned "grunts," but progress in rank through successful missions to command full platoons of soldiers and eventually fleets of planes and ships. The online multiplayer game is designed to support up to 64 players in the same 3D-rendered battles. In either mode of play, learning to coordinate attacks in the midst of the chaos can be an important key to victory.

    Great Old School Bot Battles

    Oldy but a goodie. 1942 and Vietnam have offline bots, which most modern games are lacking. These will play on windows 10, but not "out of the box". Make sure you upgrade both 1942 and Vietnam to the latest versions. You can then visit the team-simple download page and use their clients to properly launch the games.

    Couldn't get it to work. After I registered it, it requested an administrators password that I didn't know. When I contacted game manufacturer, they were of no help.

    Amazing game!

    *Note: I bought the pack with &quot;Road to Rome&quot;, &quot;Secret Weapons of WWII&quot;, and &quot;Battlefield: Vietnam.&quot; When I first bought this game, I was hesitant, but I figured that I would buy it; I got it for $20, so I figured I wouldn&apos;t be out too much if it was a flop. It took a while for me to install it, but when I did, I&apos;m glad I did! Okay, let me first off say that this game isn&apos;t exactly historically correct; but who cares? It&apos;s a fun game! If you&apos;re used to games where you only run or walk, and don&apos;t like it, then this game is for you! You can drive a tank, be a gunner, fly a plane, swim (Which is a surprise, considering that in every other game you either just walk through it or die.), be a main battery on a battleship, or just ...

    Fun waste of time

    The thing I liked most about this movie was being able to play the Axis powers. I don&apos;t recall any FPS game out there where you can play the Germans or the Japanese. Would have been nice however if when playing the Axis powers and you get a Total Victory, that it could have gone to a &quot;what if&quot; type scenario. Even with a victory you still end up on the losing side. The game upsets me when you are playing a sharpshooter. After playing other FPS games and being able to have one shot, one kill ability. I was a little upset that these game doesn&apos;t seem to have that abitlitly. Not even with a shot between the eyes. I did like that you can drive and fly, instead of just walking around. Even if it is difficult and frustating, especially flying. Still the graphics are ...

    Hours of Axis-Hunting Fun!

    This package includes Battlefield 1942, :Secret Weapons of WWII, :The Road to Rome, and :Vietnam. Only Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam are single player games, however. Secret Weapons and Rome include dozens of maps, weapons, and vehicles, but don&apos;t incorporate them into a game profile. Well-programmed first person shooter with realistic action and graphics. You have the option of turning coat and being Axis, but even if you win every battle, you lose, so why bother? Want to use Axis weapons and vehicles? Go capture some! The only disappointment was when I completed all the maps, and was left with only instant play maps and online play which wasn&apos;t worth the effort of getting online (to me-- thousands of other gamers are obsessed with it, making it hard to stay alive, ...
