Reviews
The writing in this book is not just about a kind of cultural analysis; it is literary, artistic, poetic; it presents an extraordinary model of post-positivist medium and method. It is an excellent choice for social science research courses, encouraging students to experiment with both form and content. Books about qualitative research are typically quite tedious. They spend an inordinate amount of time justifying their existence, usually in positivist terms. This book talks the talk and walks the walk. Even when presenting its theoretical framework, its author's use of language is sparkling, even dazzling. The array of verbs, nouns and adjectives in the first, introductory chapter is quite delightful. I could not have imagined there were so many different ways to describe and define this kind of research, to deconstruct and, simultaneously, to reconstruct its meanings and metaphors. Synopsis
Daredevil Research: Re-creating Analytic Practice gathers together ten research projects that seek to transform thinking about analytic practice and the construction of research knowledge. By experimenting with alternative models of representation unconstrained by the weight of traditional research protocols, the authors create multiple spaces for imagining how to differently identify issues for inquiry, select modes of analysis, and inscribe «data» into transmittable form. At once a production of research knowledge and a conceptual field for meaning-making, Daredevil Research suggests the possibilities of analytic practice in imaginative, independent space., Daredevil Research: Re-creating Analytic Practice gathers together ten research projects that seek to transform thinking about analytic practice and the construction of research knowledge. Accurate item description and pics. Great packing job with great care and emphasis on ensuring the item arrived undamaged using minimum packing materials and with conscientious use of recycled materials. Super-fast shipment at reasonable rate and arriving ahead of schedule. Great communication before and after transaction. Highly recommended A+ / 5 Star seller! Definitely one of my new favorite sellers and will purchase from again. Can't say enough praise for this seller. Highly Recommended!!!!!

This sellers "two day" shipping policy is baloney - it took a over five days and repeated emails before this item shipped. I almost thought I would have to request a refund from eBay. That being said, when it did ship, it was nicely packaged and arrived undamaged. I would not buy from this person again because they don't honor their own policies! I can only leave positive feedback because 1) the item DID arrive, and 2) it was as described. The rest wasn't a great experience.

I dislike complaining, but I'm unhappy with this transaction. The deck/book set, described as "like new," was mailed in such a flimsy envelope that it arrived twisted out of shape, to the point where one of the cards was stuck to exposed glue inside. I wrote to the seller about the situation but received no response. I didn't ask for a return because the price wasn't high, but even at this price I expect more care in packaging. (I have ordered other items from this seller that arrived intact.)
