This is an unusually fine example of the product as honestly described by the seller. In every way it looks and performs as new, and in perfect working order. Although I am a professional photographer, the shamefully discontinued Panasonic TZ30 travel camera remains in my opinion one of the finest domestic superzoom travel cameras from Panasonic, and in certain circumstances outclasses my pro DSLR's! This purchase was the perfect replacement for my recently stolen version of the same model. Thanks to eBay, I'm a very happy bunny!

Well packed, good condition, soft case is a bit tight for the camera,, especially when another spare battery is in it too, very tight indeed when a lanyard is fitted to the camera. Overall good purchase. Well pleased D

Purchased the Lumix ZS20 to replace my much-loved, recently defunct Olympus Stylus 410 - so it had a lot to live up to. My first mistake was to purchase the camera from overseas without a Panasonic worldwide warranty, (only a seller's warranty). The second was not checking the camera thoroughly before setting off on a short foreign holiday. Unfortunately, the camera had a fault that only became apparent after I'd taken many photographs on holiday and returned to download/view them onto my PC. The lens had a speck of dust on the inside which created a "bloom" right in the middle of every image. When I contacted Panasonic UK, they didn't want to know, but supplied details of an approved UK repair centre who could repair the camera as a "chargeable" repair - really nice of them! So I was obliged to contact the Ebay seller and claim for the repairs under the seller's warranty. Luckily, they were a reputable business, and although it was a lengthy process the camera was eventually repaired and the costs (excluding postage) were refunded. Overall, the camera performs well, but it still doesn't produce noticeably better photographs than my 4mpix Olympus, which was far easier to use. Unless you rely on automatic mode all the time, you really need to study the Users' Guide thoroughly to get the best out of the Lumix because there are so many options available. I think the camera is really for the more experienced photographers who like to play with aperture and shutter-speed settings etc. It's hardly point-and-shoot camera. The experience has put me off buying Panasonic again. Their repair centre wasn't very efficient and I expected better quality from a camera at this price, and with such rave reviews.Read full review
My son bought this camera in Japan (new) quite cheap. Screen dialogues in Japanese did not cause serious problems to us, we understood a lot from the screen pictures and manual. The photographs seemed superb at any zoom rate, we considered it as the best digital camera used by us so far. But the zoom lens stopped opening after little exposure to cold humid weather (not rain). After a week it opened a few times more and then closed permanently (Nov 2015). I tried to make the lens open by web instructions, without opening the camera case, nothing worked. My son also bought the same model and was very pleased with the pictures. However the zoom lens stopped opening after taking some photos in Morocco desert (summer 2015). The one year guarantee (in Japan) has just expired. Local representative looked into the camera at a charge, but it had to go out of Greece for costly repair, which we judged not worth while. Pity that the specific lens seems so sensible. A most durable Leica zoom lens would make the camera superb. I have just bought Lumix DMC-SZ10 from a local dealer (2 year guarantee), yet photos of DMC-TZ30 looked clearly better.Read full review
