This book was not in "good" condition. It was filthy with stains and a dark sticky substance on the bottom of the cover that I immediately cleaned off! There are several pages that are torn, bent and written on with both pen and pencil, which I can still see after having erased. Over priced.

  • Great Book for the garment maker!

If you make garments and are ready to take it to the next level this book is a great addition. It instructs you on changing patterns radically. I have not gotten into pattern making per se but adding, subtracting and changing them. I have a made a basic fit bodice, skirt and pants and from these and this book, I feel empowered. It has much needed instructions on knits, fitting children, athletic wear and men's wear. It is a comprehensive tome on sewing. Nice illustrations too!

  • Excellent Resource for Patternmaking

This is a great book to have not only for beginners to Patternmaking, but also as reference to those with some experience. It is very informative and provides useful templates to help you create your own custom patterns. I would definitely recommend this to fashion students, costumers, and generally anyone interested in garment construction.
