    The maid in the kitchen, lightweight and great features

    This kettle is light, clean looking and the temp control is fab, power up, set temp, take a phone call, kettle switches off at that temo, and with the unique keep warm button it will reboil itself ready for your cuppa. Nice easy to clean base.

    Good kettle but takes forever to turn off.

    The kettle does everything it says, it boiles quickly the timer function is great. The only down side is it takes ages to turn itself off after it has reached boiling point, so this must impact the energy efficiency.

    Neat design and ergonomic. I have always liked transparent kettles so that the water level is immediately apparent and at a distance. The choice of temperature controlled cut off is a great feature - a pity that there is not a 40 degree centigrade stop included (useful for cooking and bread-making). It doesn’t contain the usual bimetallic strip so if you’re anything above sea level then the kettle will seemingly not cut off crisply once bubbling as boiling point will be inevitably below 100 degrees centigrade - so you have to understand this basic physics principle and work with it! The kettle will work without the lid in situ as the design depends on temperature cut off rather than the more usual steam-tripped switch dependent on an enclosed boiling chamber -so in a sense should be ...
