Lightweight semi transparent foam retains heat stops draughts on windows and looks good
Foam is great for its original purpose however, I wanted something light and semi transparent to cover the windows so I could keep the warmth inside and the cold outside. I cut a length of roll to fit the window drop then fixed it to the inside of the window frame (Used blutak as a tryout) being quite thin I doubled it over - and now it looks exactly like net curtains hanging inside the window and looks fine from outside too. Being foam it retains the heat, keeps out the cold and stops draughts and the roll is long enough to cover a few windows. Beware you may not get what you paid for
I needed 20 metres and so bought 2 of these rolls. One was fine 10m, but the other was only 9m ... effectively leaving me short on my project and causing some delay while I had to sort that out. I was advised that there can be a 10% margin on these (i.e. 10% less or more) Regrettably I came up short. I was offered the £0.40c refund for the one metre ... I declined because it didn't help me when I was working and didn't really address the inconvenience.
