The album won two Grammy Awards in 2001 for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for the song "Both Sides Now" and a Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.

    Both sides now

    I bought this for the title song. I love this rendition of the song because it's an older and wiser Joni singing it and you can hear all the years in her voice. The pain and love she acquired after a life well lived.

    For die hard Joni fans only?

    Personally, I find Joni's interpretations of these classics mediocre. I made the purchase because the musicians are world class. It's very listenable, but nothing jumps out that says "this is great stuff". I will add this CD to my Joni collection for background music purposes.

    Awesome work of musical art

    This is completely different for wonderful Joni. This concept album tells the story of a love affair from initial infatuation, through love, then fading and the breakup. This is Joni's incredible voice singing mostly old standards with huge full orchestration behind her. Absolutely breathtaking, and a must have for a Joni fan.

    Joni Mitchell singing Classic Ballads including Both Sides Now. Wonderful

    I loved seeing Joni Mitchell at the 2024 Grammys. I wanted to hear more so I purchased this CD. Only 2 songs on CD are written by Joni, my favorite, Both Sides Now and A Case Of You. All the other songs are old time ballads. She sings classics, like At Last, Stormy Weather, I Wish I Were In Love Again. Really great CD
