Synopsis
For Humphrey Bogart's son, making sense of and peace with the father he lost at an early age has led him down a path of understanding that he now reveals. Along the way, he came up with surprising anecdotes involving Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis, John Houston, Audrey Hepburn, and Stephen Bogart's stepfather, Jason Robards, that make the real Humphrey Bogart come vividly to life. photos.

Book just as described. Clean, not former library, not covered in stickers, well packaged and arrived on time. I would buy from this seller again. Thank you.

Item was in good condition as described and shipped quickly. Packaging could have been better, only a mailer envelope with no padding, which was a bit disappointing. Other than that, a nice and smooth transaction.

  • Stephen Bogart (Bogie & Bacall's son) pens this work

Stephen Bogart comes full-circle in writing this semi-biography of his father, Humphrey Bogart. The author interviewed several of Bogie's old friends and researched magazine and newspaper archives in an attempt to tell the entire unbiased truth about his father's life. In the process, he see's many moments in his own life which mirror's his dad's. Loved it!

  • Great book. Very enjoyable reading.

Good book! I liked that Steve gave insight into his relationship with his mother, Lauren Bacall and that he wrote about his own life. It was very interesting. The pictures in the book were great, also. Unfortunately, since he was so young when his father died, he doesn't have a large source of memories of his father to draw from.

  • Bogie and Mw

Great insight into the icon. A must for Bogie lovers. Well written by one who knew the legend as few did.
