John Mayer - Any Given Thursday
This guy really must be one of the greatest guitarists that pop music has ever seen. It's easy to listen to his voice, it's like he's whispering, but his chord arrangements and catchy tempos seem to stir emotions deep down. I don't know what it is about him and his talent as a musician but he is truly gifted. As far as I've noticed he only uses similar chord variations on a couple of songs and then he's off to some other wild place on the fretboard. His knowledge of the guitar and mastery of the precision of it seems endless. No wonder he makes all those hilariously tragic faces as he nails it every time.This guy really must be one of the greatest guitarists that pop music has ever seen. Must have for JM fans
I saw this concert on DVD a year ago and loved it! If you are a HUGE JM fan like me, you will want to add this to your collection. It is an early recording for his career (i.e. 2003) and it shows some of his humble beginnings. It has a few songs you can't find anywhere else - like "Man on the Side" and a great version of "Comfortable". I love it!!
