I was initially skeptical of the low price on these batteries. They do not come in factory packaging either. However! They have performed great so far. Upon close inspection they appear to be genuine. They did have a few scuffs and kind of a wierd shinyness when I got them but if you use your tools at all they will get scuffed up anyway. I can't really tell very much difference in battery life between these and my 4ah batteries. Not at all like the difference between the 3ah and 4ah. But the best thing is they're half price of Home Depot. Fingers crossed that they last!

These things could be anything, it would be impossible for the average person to know what is contained within these sliding plastic constructs that fit a Makita charger. One way to know what you have would be so see how long they last. I already killed one of mine through no fault of the product by trying a trick shown on the internet of hot wiring one battery to another to see if you can reactivate an old battery. That sent one of my two batteries into the trash can. These batteries are a fraction of the cost to the Makita originals, and we all would hope they give us good value, but we don't know.

It came with plastic package. These batteries look like OEM. Serial is a lot smaller than the pair I have which is 1.5 years old. There was one bar power in my old batteries when I got them. These are completely out of power. I guess it sat in warehouse for a long time. After charging they work like a charm in my 36V blower. Last same as mine old pair. I don’t know how many cycles it will last yet. So far it work great. Good value. Definitely recommended.

These batteries are excellent, and there is nothing like the genuine name brand when it comes to these types of batteries-I am in remodeling full-time and can’t have a battery die on me in the middle of a critical time, and these Makita batteries not only have 5.0 A hours which is incredible, but hold their charge incredibly long. This particular deal is something you don’t want to pass up.

Mikita batteries last longer in the tool and have a longer service life than “bargain” brand batteries. 5.0 Ah means longer run time. LED Charge indicators are a real help in knowing when it’s going to need a charge.

The original Mikita brand lasted one hour under continuous use. These batteries lasted nearly as long. Too close to say variations in the vegetation was not a factor. They were identical in form, fit,and function.

I have 3 Makita-knockoff batteries branded "VANON": two 6AH and one 9AH. All 3 batteries work fine. The 6AH's don't charge fully on my *old* teal-colored Makita DC18RA charger. I have to charge them on my *new*, black Makita DC18RC charger, and then they seem to charge just as expected. (This could be why some have said they don't have much capacity - maybe they are trying to charge them on an old teal charger. I don't know. Works great for me.) Other than that, after a few weeks in my construction business, the 6AH's are doing pretty fine. Haven't had to charge them near as much as I thought. The little charge-indicator button works as expected. Use the battery on a drill for a couple days, and it goes down to 2 lights. Charge it, goes up to 3 lights. Also the stickers on the sides don’t last that long. They get biffed during normal construction use. But I don’t really care about that. **** About the 9AH: This one is physically bigger than the 6AH - it has another row of cells inside it. The 9AH is used to run LED lighting in our off-grid dairy milking parlor. It gets discharged to about 50%, and then recharged 100%, about twice a day. Still works fine after several months. Also, this one charges as expected on either charger (teal or black). This one doesn't have a charge level gauge. All in all, I'm satisfied. I'd buy more. Read full review

These batteries charge quickly and work well in my Makita cordless tolls. They provide enough power. I have not had them long enough to know how well they hold a charge or if they are long-lasting However the price is good and I needed extra batteries for my mini-chain saw and skill saw, so we will see.

I just love opening new Makita Lithium batteries! Shiny, not a scratch on them, however that doesn’t last long! These have always been good to me even though I have dropped them on concrete from a ladder more than once and they keep on going! Fast charging and long lasting. Love the LED battery indicator. I still have a couple old ones without the indicator and I don’t know how I ever did without it!
