An impetuous princess discovers that her reckless choice has put both her family and her father's kingdom in peril in this animated adventure from Pixar films. Merida may be the daughter of royalty, but all she wants out of life is to become a truly great archer. When Merida and her mother clash over the willful girl's future, the decisions she makes have greater repercussions that she ever imagined. I adore this film, such a wonderful twist on the usual fairytales. Ancient Celtic law and legends form the backdrop that's stifling Merida, the young feisty Princess who should be married off to a Clansman, as tradition would have it . . . or could there be another way? Wonderful animation that only Pixar can flawlessly create, great humour and storyline with voiceovers from Billy Connolly, Julie Waters & Emma Thompson. It's a truly magical DVD that I watch over and over again and am enchanted by each and every time. I have not been able to watch much of this movie myself but my 5 Granddaughters aged 18 months to 5 years absolutely adore this film so do the adults, it is something for all the family.
