About this product

Product Information

The author has had access to Channel 4's account of the conflict from leading participants in both Britain and Argentina. The book is being published to tie-in with a four-part Channel 4 TV-series on the Falklands War, timed to appear on the 10th anniversary of the outbreak of the war. Among its many revelations are: the story behind the Argentine junta's decision to invade the Malvinas; the lack of co-ordination in the British Government which led to the loss of the Falklands; the debate inside the British military about the feasibility of recapturing the Falklands long after the task force had been despatched; the truth behind the sinking of the Belgrano; the chaos of the successful Argentine air attack on the British ships at Bluff Cove and Fitzroy.

Item was just as described (near new) and I had excellent communication with this seller. The item arrived much sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was the item could have been packaged better as the packaging was torn in places, exposing the the dust jacket of the book when I received it. Overall, a positive transaction.

Package arrived as would expect in good condition & promptly from when ordered all items in great condition & as or as described in the description & for a good descent price & what better recomendation for a seller who provided a standard of service expected not just in a reasonable prompt delivery, price, & also a satisfied satisfaction in the quality of the items previously supported & recommended by other customer recommendations from ebay feedback but to want to be a repeat customer.

  • A Great Summary about the Falklands conflict.

This is a very interesting book that summarises the facts and history of the Falklands conflict. Written ten years after the conflict ended, it contains checked and correct figures and dates (such s the numbers of dead and lost aircraft). Unfortunately, I have never seen the Television programs that it was based on, but it contains many statements made by those ho fought on both sides, to add real-life experience to the facts stated. .
