The Nintendo 3DS is an amazing handheld console, possibly with the best current gen gaming library. You can also play DS games, which is awsome. The 3D effect works really well too, though the fact that you need to look straight at the screen is sometimes annoying, specially with racing games or games that make use of the accelerometer. I have only two major complaints regarding the 3DS, battery life and ergonomics. With 3D on, it takes about 3hrs to drain the battery, which is certainly not enough for long trips and requires you to charge it everyday you use it. The design is also not the best for long time use. I have some trouble finding the best position to hold the console. Even with the issues listed above, this is by far the best portable gaming plataform available. Much better than using a smartphone or its more expensive competitor, the PS Vita, which is great, but lacks games on par with its hardware.Read full review
Kept my son happy for hours at time. It's reliable and good value for money. He bought it with his birthday money - a brand new one would have been out of the question.

I had a SNES game player years ago, loved Mario and all the games available at that time,as did my kids, but once a colleague of mine shew me the virtues of the new PS1 I was blown away, sold the SNES(much to the chagrin of the kids)and thought Playstation's for me now,and so it was till last month. But after many hours online with COD and god knows what else,I grew weary of combat and thought back to those days of comparative ease of use and days of fun with the SNES. And so it was I purchased a Nintendo 3DS,albeit second-hand I had doubts, but found myself anxiously awaiting its arrival. When it came looking very small, yet in remarkably good condition,I charged it and played Super Mario 3D,and what an experience, with the 3D slider set to just under half-way,it was a wonderful and mind-blowing journey and very competitive,a totally new concept for me and 3d without special glasses, utterly incredible, since then I have played Zelda(a truly amazing game),Mario Karts,Steel Diver and they are all wonderful games, and you know what it really is a gem of a handheld. The only problem is the shortage of adult type games and the price of the games but Ebay certainly helps with the price side of things. For children under 15 it is in my humble opinion the best small games player out there, the price is reasonable and for sure games can be bought very cheaply if you look round so why not give it a go? I did and I'm 64 this year, enjoy the world of colour, and depth and thrills that is the Nintendo 3DS,my granddaughter and I love it.Read full review
Allthough the 3DS is now an older console and some would say superceeded by the switch I think its a different class of device its great to chuck in a bag for playing on a train or on the go, my kids love them and with a great back catalog of games available along with new material which is still being released and Nintendos current announcement pledging to continue to produce the DS its not dead yet.

Great condition. Even though it's out of date it still has many good games. It is small enough to take travelling and the charge lasts a long time.
