    Overall positive. 1 issue with the laptop that wasn't specified (degraded battery life). Other than that, customer service was okay, and the rest of the product came as expected. (Though some of this products specific software e.g. alienware command center. Did not come pre installed as it would with a typical product.) Packaging was secure. Shipping was as expected.     Great, laptop design makes this painful to install, but part is exactly as expected and in flawless condition

    My laptop is around 2.5 years old now and after heavy use the keyboard started failing. Shortly after midnight on Thursday 4th I ordered this, it arrived on time this morning (Saturday 6th), and I set to work replacing my existing keyboard with this one. The process to do so is a lot of work as it involves removing all other components of the laptop - I suggest putting aside a few hours. Dell's published service manual on the subject is good (make sure you have a screwdriver handy that will be of the right type to take care of the screws). Although it does occasionally assume you have the extra HDD, and assumes you didn't already perform certain steps while disconnecting a previous components, etc., it's perfect if you're keeping track of what you're doing.
