    Synopsis
In her first collection of nonfiction, Alice Walker speaks out as a black woman, writer, mother, feminist. The theme of her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Color Purple, is at the heart of several of these essays: black women in relation to their families; their mothers; to each other; to black men; to white society and the world at large. In a number of other pieces, Walker discusses the writing of Zora Neale Hurston, Jean Toomer, Langston Hughes, and Flannery O'Connor, as well as her own work. She also looks at the civil rights movement of the 1960s and the antinuclear movement of the 1980s. Throughout the volume Walker explore the theories and practices of feminists and feminism, incorporating what she calls the womanist tradition of black women. And in a vivid and courageous memoir she tells of a scarring childhood injury and her daughter's healing words., As a woman, writer, mother, and feminist, Walker explores the theories and practices of feminism, incorporating what she calls the "womanist" tradition of African american women.

Awesome price on this vintage Italeri kit. Seller shipped it quickly at an average cost. The kit arrived safely, very carefully packaged in brand new materials. It was delivered just as it appeared in listing and photos. It was listed as used but really new in an open box complete with the decals and instructions. The kit also included extras, an Edward Models PE detail set and Check Master's engine kit. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend the seller. Thanks!
