    Highly entertaining emotional roller-coaster

    Awsome film, based on a true story which shows just how far we've come and how much attitudes towards have changed in the last 30 years or so. Back then true courage was needed to stand up to bigotry, which in many cases exposed people to physical harm and abuse, and rejection from the people closest to them. The highs are very high, and the lows are very low - this film is a highly entertaining emotional rollercoaster which will appeal to people of all generations and persuasions - but not for bigots.

    Gay, striaght or any combination inbetween we all breath the same air, we all bleed the same red blood, we all love, you don't have to agree with life choices but no one has the right to judge who we are or who we love. Pride is something we should all embrace and be proud of who we are and all those who mean something to us. Family, friends and those we fall in love with each help to make us the person we are and the person we become. We only get one life one chance to make a difference don't waste the life you have live and enjoy the time you have no matter how long or short that time may be.

    Great enjoyment value

    To be perfectly was not too certain that I would enjoy this film but it was great. Very entertaining and the most important thing, to me, was that I actually cared about the characters and how they ended up. The whole subject was rightly treated with sympathy, some unpalatable truths but with great humour too. Great film would recommend to anyone.

    Pride - Says it all - for both communities.

    Wonderful film made all the more uplifting as it is based on a, largely unknown, true story. These two totally different communities came together to support each other in very bad times. Some wonderfully funny scenes in it also to lighten the mood. Highly recommended watching !!
