Songs From The Wood is the tenth studio album by Jethro Tull and one of the most critically acclaimed in their entire catalogue. When it was released Rolling Stone commented that it "may well be the group's best record ever". Jethro Tull is a British rock group, formed in Luton, Bedfordshire, in December 1967. Initially playing blues rock, the band soon developed it's sound to incorporate elements of British folk music and hard rock to forge a progressive rock signature. Jethro Tull has sold over 60 million albums worldwide, with 11 gold and five platinum albums among them.

    Jethro Tull - Songs from the Wppd deluxe box set

    This is a great set, with Steve Wilson's 5.1 audio remix and live shows.. In fact, as a package it is a good value. But, with the overpricing aftermarket of a sold-out edfition, it was a little expensive.to purchase. I expect there to be a 50th anniversary edition in a few years, at a more reasonable price as they have done with Benefit. The demand is there. Not to say I regret paying what I did for this hard to get set, just that the question posed is more like if this were the list price, would you buy it. So, it is of good quality and is recommended, especially if you can find an affordable price.
