Brilliant !
I had seen this before, when it first aired, but had forgotten how brilliant it was. What at first seems a tale of a dusty old archive, blooms into an engaging story of how even the apparently "simple" characters have multi-layered, fascinating lives and many secrets. A picture really does paint a thousand words. Great performances from Duncan and Spall.
