    Excellent but limited

    An excellent starter unit to begin using DCC but I have already moved on as the select has very limited powers to "tune" the chips. You could expand to the Elite and keep the select as a walkabout but the Elite is expensive. Overall good value and if you just want to use dcc out of the box it will serve you well.

    Beginners controller.

    This is ideal if you are dipping your toes into DCC model railways, it is quite basic and easy to learn but on complex track system you can lose track of which train is where. Overall I'd say it's good for beginners.

    Easy to get started with Dcc

    It works perfectly straight out of the box. Easy to understand with a comprehensive instruction manual. Runs my first two digital trains on same track no problem.
